Hi folks! Thanks for comments on “before picture”.
Im still in this challenge but Ive lost access to my home computer. The bloody thing has crashed, maybe due to a virus? So frustrating and annoying but upsetting too as Ive lost hundreds of photos, many of the two boys that were not yet saved to a disc.My own fault I know but gutting nevertheless.
Im currently in an internet cafe so wont get here too often but will try and update the 52DC threads on Mens Health if I can sneak on at work.
The main thing is Im still in this and working towards my goals!
Good luck to all in the challenge and I’ll speak soon!

Pushupguk has prompted me to put up a before and after picture. It’s a good idea and will show results from the beginning to end of challenge. It will be a big motivator too for me..This pic’ was taken very recently so this is “the before”..

OK,Im attempting a photo so I can start adding them to my blog in the future.
This ones just for fun,it’s my Vespa PX200 which I ride to work each day!
Nothing to do with fitness I know, except when it breaks down and I end up pushing the dam thing! An R/T for sure!

Tuesday night here in the UK.Got my CT in early again today which set me up for the day.
I dedicate this current challenge to my two kids.Ive got two lads, one aged 2 and the other 10 months. They are full of energy and I never know where they get it from sometimes.Built the two year old a “tunnel” tonight from a clothes horse and a blanket (the simple things eh!).He went through it,and through it..must have been 20 minutes non stop!Definately a tick in the C/T box for him tonight.
A major reason why I keep fit and healthy is for them.To be able to keep up with them,to play with them and to be there for them for a long time and also to set them a good example when theyre old enough to understand what keeping fit is all about.
So now if I think about missing a scheduled workout,I dont ,as it’s the boys I’ll be letting down,it’s a motivator alright.
Great to hear how Donna and BaseballMom workout with/for the kids too!

Hi people,a day off today so have got in an R/T and a C/T first thing this morning, felt great to get some numbers on the board at last. When Im working it’s tough to get in a workout but I have to try harder and fit one in because I dont want to always wait for my days off..Slomoshen asked about weekends as his QOTD which provided some good answers.Love reading through all the posts. There are some inspiring people out there!
OK,so into June already.Where does the time go?!Thanks for all the comments,I love receiving them.Keep up the great work this challenge everybody.
The football season has finished here in England now .Normally I have a complete break from the sport so it’s fresh when it starts again in August but the Euro 2008 championships start 7th june so this could prove tricky! As England are not in it,Im supporting the Italians!

Hi guys, thanks for the comments so far!
Ive replied to pushupguk,donnas7kids and anaerobic1 on the “comments” section.Hope that’s the right place for it so you can check the replies.
Up to and inc day 3 Im at:
C/E 5/6/85
R/T 1/19
C/T 0/19
OK,a good C/E day for me today which consisted of the following:
Oatmeal @ 7am with coffee. In the oats were raisins too.
At work so @10am I had an almond and yoghurt bar.
Im not a massive fan of “health” bars but it sure beats binging on the stuff the sandwich man brings around in the mornings.
Lunch today @ 2pm was a ham salad sandwich on brown bread with a hint of mayo so its not too dry.
Mid afternoon I had fruit @ 4pm
Got home @ 7pm and my wife ,bless her,had prepared an awesome steak with mushrooms and salad!Fantastic way to end the day.Had a low fat yoghurt to end the day.If I fancy picking later,it will be raisins only.
Ive had plenty of water today too.
Any comments on the days eating welcome

Day 2 of the challenge.I wont get to write here every day due to work and family commitments but I’ll get on here as much as I can.I better put down my goals hadnt I?Clean Eats 85,that gives me a few cheats.Im going to be strict with myself too.Im gonna have to If I want to make this work. For instance, tonight Im striking off a clean eat already as I “picked” on cheese whilst making the kids dinners.I then had a chocolate bar which blew the clean eat anyway.
Resistance and Cardio training both 19.A funny number I know but I have tried 20 the past few challenges and have failed to let’s mix it up a bit.
Personal goal 1 is to lose 5lbs! Im currently at 194lbs so I want to get into the 180’s.
Personal goal 2 is to do 8 consecutive pull ups,I’ll talk about them in a later post.Im on 6 at the moment so let’s go for it eh.

Welcome to my52dc.com. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging!
Good Evening!
Today is Day 1 of yet another 52 Day challenge for me,which can be found on the Mens Health.com website..
This time around Im going to try a blog.
This will keep me accountable and keep me strong to the end as usually I fade away towards the end of the challenges and start slacking on my numbers.
This might be the kick up the ars I need!
Im no computer wizard so hopefully this will be easy to do!
The title “practice what you preach” comes from a fitness guru of mine Bill Phillips! He of Muscle Media fame.He came out with that line in his documentary “Body of Work” which was out in the late 90’s!
Yes,that’s how long Ive beeb trying for my”perfect” body!
But hey,Im human!I work 40 hours a week, have a wife and two kids, plus two step kids too,so time is precious.
But if i can manage my time then this thing will fall into place.
So down to Day 1,good on the eats but yet to start my workouts.
If anyone is reading this out there in cyberspace then..thanks!
Here we go..
